What is a 'Trading Model' and is the Model you follow losing you money?

Possibly the biggest problem facing every trader both private and institutional, is adapting to the changes that modern market operations have forced upon us all. 

An substantial investment is made globally in developing systems and methodologies to help us to identify trading opportunities. 

The problem is that modern fund operators react in direct response to certain global factors so quickly and aggressively, that they are in and out of trading positions long before systematic models can pick it up.

This has left so many traders reeling from losses as they can not understand why, that after they have spent in some cases many hours setting up to enter a position, that when they finally make a decision to enter a trade, out of nowhere the position turns against them.  When you realise that these funds are only in positions in some cases only for hours and not for weeks, months and years, then it completely makes sense why so many traders are understandably left scratching theirs heads over why certain positions have gone against them.
